Students Promotion Policy
- Promotion is given on the basis of the cumulative results of the Unit Test, Internal Test and the Comprehensive Examination.
- The decision of the school authorities regarding promotion will be final.
- It is mandatory for students to have a 75% attendance to be eligible to appear in Second Term Examination.
- It is mandatory to appear in all Examinations as each exam has some weightage.
- A student found using any kind of unfair means would be considered as a serious punishable event and that paper of the student will be cancelled.
- If a student is not well, he/she should not be forced to appear in Examination. However, medical certificate would be required within 3 days of absence.
- The student who is detained twice in same class will not be eligible to continue in school.
- Absence in the examination or part thereof without medical certificate to be submitted within 3 working days of the date of absence in the exam will be considered as willful absence and no marks, credit or allowance will be given for the days of absence.
- A student of Class V & VIII who is not eligible for pass/promotion will be placed in the category of Essential Repeat (ER) and will be held back in the same class during the next session.
For Class Preschool to Class II
The students of preschool Class generally graduate to class I subject to eligibility in respect to attendance. They are however assessed continuously by the teachers.
The promotion of the child who needs improvement shall be done after the discussion with the parents.
For Class III to VIII
Each candidate is supposed to obtain minimum 33% marks or Grade D in all subjects in Final Assessment, to be declared as Pass.
If any student fails to get minimum 33% marks in any subject, he/she is given one chance for improvement in that subject. (ONLY FOR CLASS V & VIII)
For Class-IX
A student must obtain minimum 33% marks at least in any subject (Internal Assessment and Terminal Examination) in Final Assessment.
If any student fails to get minimum 33% marks in any subject, he/she is given one chance for improvement in that subject.
For Class-XI
A student must obtain minimum 33% marks in any subject (Internal Assessment and Terminal Examinations) (Theory and Practical separately) and aggregate of 33% in overall result in Final Assessment in order to be declared Pass and Promoted to Class-XII.
If any student fails to get minimum 33% marks in any subject, he/she is given one chance for improvement in that subject.
